Science-Art Residency at Femto Lab

TakT is proud to announce a sponsorship and collaboration between TakT and Corentin Spriet from the TISBio Labs of Lille University. Starting in July 2020, TakT went to the TISBio labs for an artistic residency so that they could work on two of their science artistic installations “Cellular Body” and “Residence Quarantine”. TakT will work with bacteria, artificial intelligence, cells, microscopes, sampling, video, photography, 3d imaging, sound manipulation and more.

In conjunction with this artistic residency, TakT has become officially sponsored by “Schertler Acoustics” from Switzerland who are transforming the possibilities of analogue audio technology. Schertler provided TakT with their new state of the art modular mixer and contact microphone. Part of the installations will include audio created from the TIS Bio Science Labs and will be released as part of “Schertler’s Artist Community” sound library.

The video above shows the beginnings of the creation process of TakT's art installation project "Residence Quarantine". It's an immersive installation which will include a faux reality tv show based on a battle between TakT's actual bacteria.
